Bennett Stevens is now only program director for Luminous Journeys Myanmar photo tours, assisting only by request on private photo tours to remote locations. Coming from the world of documentary photography, he has always been a traveler and so the travel image comes quite naturally. In this arena he considers himself a travel documentary shooter, more interested in people stories than pretty postcards, but he'll snap those when he has the chance. Praise for Bennett's documentary work: [Bennett Stevens' Cambodia photo essays] ...reveal something few photographers possess – the ability to shoot from ‘within’. This is most evident in the work with terminal AIDS patients... Never stripped of their dignity, there is a certain warmth, emotion and humanity that shows through." ~ Jack Picone, 2-Time World Photographer of the Year
"Remarkable essays... Extraordinary how beautiful the images are, while at the same time so terrible. I am reminded of W. Eugene Smith's work in Minamata." ~ Gail Gutradt, Author, In a Rocket Made of Ice
